I'm trying to move a Pioneer 4200 Head Unit from a 95 Blazer into my 91 GSX, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the stereo out. The Eclipse has a Questar or something that just popped right out because the previous owner installed it, whereas the Pioneer unit was put into the Blazer by Best Buy. Do I need any special tools, I thought there was something you need to stick on either side of the H.U. and then you can slide it out, but I tried with 2 screwdrivers. Thanks

if this is on the blazer you may have to take the dash trim piece off if there is no small holes to slide the stock head unit out . thats what i had to do on my 98 dodge ram, had to remove the plastic trim piece. then un bolt it. hope this helps. what yr blazer.

you have to have the right "keys" to get it to pop loose...
screwdrivers generally don't cut it.

that being said you could just pull the entire kit and then undo it from behind.

I was succesful with removing the stereo, I had one screw left I couldn't get to, so I just shook it until it popped off. Now the Eclipse is more fun with some tunes, now it just needs working A/C. Thanks for the help
