ok, I have a 90 TSi AWD and it has the stock alloys well the factory clear is comming off and i was just wondering if any of you have sanded them down and put new clear on them and if so what did you use (products, sandpaper)and how did it turn out? thanks

Best suggestion I can give you is to strip the wheel the whole way down and wax it or get them powder coated. There is a solution for stripping aircraft aluminum down that works really well but I can't remember the name right now. We used it when stripping the coating off my truck's aluminum rims and it made things so easy and then we waxed them. They look like brand new.

awsome thank you i think ive heard of the stuff before they said you can buy it at wallmart i think its like airplane stripper thanks tho and i'll try it
