are you sure your amp is turning on, does it have a light anywhere onthe side letting you know if it has power? if your cd player has a sub pre out you might have to call kenwood or go to a owners manual to figure out how to get the sub preouts to work

Double check your RCA connections from your headunit to the amp, then the amp turn on wire to the amp, also the power and ground wires, just make sure everything is hooked up correctly. If any other questions call my works technical support line at 1-800-621-3695

Good luck

http:// I have a Kenwood headunit and there is a button to defeat the sub-woofers RCA out. Check the manual to see if that option is on yours as well.

Edit ** Also the little triangle above the "W" should light up red when everything is good and won't light if it is tripped or blown, if I remember right. That looks like the KAC-746, I used to have an 846. I don't think that is the best amp for subs, you'll only get about 100 x 2 bridged at 4 ohms at 14.4 volts, it isn't stable if bridged at 2 ohms.

manual can be found here:

Definatly start with the remote wire(blue)
There are two one witha stripe and one without, I made that mistake got the mixed up somehow, fixed it and the amp worked.

in this picture it appeares that you have inadvertently connected both sub wires to positive instead of left positive and right negative, ie where it says +___bridged__ - ?

or is the picture decieving?

also make sure using a multimeter that you have continuity from one wire to the other. with DVC subs sometime they are mislabled and you will be going no where.

That is what I am thinking also. I do this for a living, and I don't think the speaker will work with you driving it off two posivites on the amp. ;)

Also, you can see right above the wires where it says "-----Bridged------" Use the wire terminals that the ends of the lines are above. :thumb:
