Everyone i purchased a carbon fiber hood for my car when i was at Nopi Nationals from a vendor there. Well i went to put on the hood sat. and there is a half inch gap between the fender and hood the also wont shut and latch for some reason. The worst part is i lost the reciept and i usually keep all my reciepts so i dont even know the name of the vendor i got it from. the only good news is i used my credit card so i can get the name and number of the place. the thing that makes me so upset is when i was buyin it i asked if there was any problems what can i do and they replied "there wont be its made for your car". sorry i am just venting to everyone.

Get the info from your card company and give it back, you can use your info from the card as a reciept. Some card companys will back products you buy against stuff like that you should look into it. Good luck, just dont sell it to me on ebay if they dont take it back.

have you tried to adjust it at all? left adn right..sometimes you may have to adjust it some

will the hood not latch? if so it might just be a problem with the latch.. though the gap isnt cool either
my first cf hood was from fiber images though it fit great the underside was nasty, edges werent rolled and the shine wasnt there

the2nd hood i got was free from www.imoto.com was perfect and about 8 lbs heavier then the fi one..though it had a tad of gap and didnt latch .. it was one of thier first cf hoods, and i sort of tested it out in a ways.. i made it fit some.. but after that bad things happened and i wont get into them..

If you want a hood that fits and everything is perfect. Let me know.

is it a carbon fiber hood? im in your area and i would like a cf hood. let me know the details.

Mine is not forsale, but I can get you a brand new vis racing cf hood oem style for $480.00 shipped to your door. Let me know.

I bought a VIS Invader Style hood for my car. It didn't fit either. I finally found out that, before I got the car, an aftermarket radiator was put in it. This radiator had two small humps that prevented the hood from setting down all the way and latching. It was way off! (2") I dremeled out the part of the hood that sat on top of the humps so I could get clearance. I then got the fitment 100% by widening the holes in the factory hinges and setting it back about 1/4". Drilling through those holes can be a real pain in the ass if you don't have the proper equipment. Anyway I then adjusted the latch to set more forward and it fit fine. My fit as badly as yours by the way it sounds. Body shops didn't even know what the hell to do about it. So I took it upon myself and did it. If you need some help with the hood still email me and I'll give you my phone # and try to help. -Lee By the way just put in NOS, I LOVE IT!!! Well worth the money, finally beat the A$$hole in town that made fun of my 4-banger. His expression sure changed when I passed him up :) He drives a Trans Am. Peace

I know this isn't gonna get your money back or fix your fitment.

This is one of those times I can honestly say that name brand sheet is worth it. I bought a no name brand off of ebay. after going through 2 from this company and destroying my brackets, It still didn't fit right. Mad gaps and cut sides. I tried using hood pins to close up the gaps more in the front. nothing worked.

So I sold that and got a VIS oem style and it fit absolutly beautiful. I didn't have to adjust it at all.

My suggestion would be try dayum hard to get in touch with the vendor or sell it. Sometimes it fits different on different cars. Get out of that hood and get a VIS.

You have got to love the VIS hood. Eclipse 4x4 how much did you pay for yours shipped.

thought i hate fiber images for certain reasons.. thier hood did fit perfect.. the edges werent rolled nor was the finish on it that great.. but it fit perfect

imoto.com .. hood was perfect didnt latch down great though i told them and they are working on that i hope.. andbut the shine and edges were prefect

Well my folks live there. I go there at times to visit and help out. I will be there for thanxgiving.

Thanx for the compliments, your is pretty damn tight also.

My VIS fit perfectly. Some 2g guys I know said they're VIS fit perfectly too. Best bet is to go for the VIS. A little more pricey, but better quality and fitment.

Talonblingbling: How much did you pay for your hood? If you don't mind me asking.

Is that with shipping? If so then thats a damn good price.:thumb:

Good deal, I still got mine cheaper and it had to be shipped. I just got lucky on the deal that I found. Now the guy wants $100.00 more than what I paid shipped. BTW the hood looks good, blingbling.:thumb:

Eclipse4x4: That is me, I am still trying to sell some of these hoods. If you know anyone that wants one let me know.
