[Just Nasty]

I should be getting my 1g pretty soon but all of the 1gs I have been looking at need some interior work, and of course the paint isn't too great on them.So if I do pick up a 1g I want to redo the whole interior with some nice leather, new carpeting etc.I'll also want to get it painted, probably something simple to try to keep it cheap, either all black, or maybe a powder blue, depending on how much more the powder blue paint would cost.
Basically I don't know much about doing good interior or exterior work so I'll have it all professionally done, but first if you guys could provide me with a ball park number, and any other info you think I should know that would be greatly appreciated.

interior panel restoraiton/painting =$50-$100 for materials (self installed)
interior carpet=~$150-$200 for a decent molded carpet kit (self installed)
leather seats=~$500-~$700 if you reupholster them yourself (more if you want it done by someone else)
exterior paint job =~$600-$5000 depending on your tastes and the quality of the paint and work.

a lot of the work you can do yourself to cut down on costs, there are a lot of good tutorials here and a lot of members who have done all this stuff to their DSMs who wouldn't mind offering help or pointers where needed. But in short if you want to have someone else do it, you're looking at a lot of money...probably as much or more than you're paying for your 1g to have it all done. if you do the work yourself still expect it to run well into $1500 range or more.

cool, I can probably handle the carpet and panels myself and have a pro do the paint and seating.As long as I can get all that done with a nice paint job that will last for under 2,000 then I'll be cool.
