How big are the door poppers? What did you fill the handle holes with?

I'd also like to know. I would love to have shaved handles, but would never think about paying a shop to do it. how hard was it to do?

how about molding the sides on? Thats another thing i would love to have, but can't afford to pay someone to do it. how hard was that to do. I read in a thread (i think greathusky made it) where he added custom brackets to help hold the skirt on, and had to use some heavy duty fiberglass.

What sort of work are we looking at for shaving door handles, what are we getting into when molding sideskirts?

im almost 100% positive they just welded a piece of metal in the door handle location (held the metal in place behind the door and weld it, then bondo it flat)

thats what it appears like anyway

So th shave the doors i would just take off the handle, cover it with a peice of metal and weld it in from the back, then fiberglass and bondo it smooth? Sounds pretty straight forward, and easy assuming you have 1/2 a brain.

how about molding on sides? Did that require and custom brackets, or did you attach them like normal, then fiberglass and bondo them to the rest of the car?

no bondo...just fiberglass and filler...we riveted it to the body

very few people mold the front bumper at all, in case you need to take it off for one of the many reasons you might have to, it would be a pain in the ass if it was molded

anyways it looks pretty good so far, im not going with the shaved handles route myself, you can see my pics in the gallery

yeah i saw your gallery earlier...what did you attach the cable from the solinoid to...i think i choose a wrong place cause when it (the cable)pulls the door handle inside pulls out too

how many hours do you think that took? I might undertake this project later in the summer, i just have no idea how long it will take.. any guess on the # of hours?

there is a lil lever with a hole in the top of it, (the one that the lever from the outside door handle connected to) that points to the top of the door.

heres a pic i drew up real quick. hope it helps, other wise i can take a pic tomorow

you might have it wired wrong, thats wierd?

did you use like autoloc kit or somthing just for the doors or just the auxilary's on a aftermarket car alarm? i just use my dei alarm, and some relays so it would have enough power to pop the door.

i will try to remember to get a pic for ya tomorrow.

i got the steeler alarm and auto loc kit from them and even gave the techs a call and said it was suppose to be like that...just like if i hit the disarm the door pops...i want to have to hit it twice to get it open just in case i accidently hit it then have to go all the way back to shut the friggin door

yeah see thats why i hooked mine up the way i did, they gave me their door popper kit with the solinoids, but i didnt use it.
on my alarm, i have the 2 buttons (1 to arm and 1 to disarm the alarm), and then to pop the driver door i hold down the AUX buttton, and to open the passenger side door i push the AUX and Func. buttons at the same time. that way everything is separate, incase like you said you accidently push the button and disarm the alarm it wont pop the door.

i wish there was a way to program it myself...

If the thing on your trunk is staying then that's cool since it's your car, but IMO your car would look sick wingless. The Rdora kit is made to go wingless in my opinion.
