My Tein SS's are sitting on my doorstep, the Prothane bushings are in my trunk and the shop press will arrive tomorrow.

The car will be down for a little bit, don't you think? I plan on a 1.5" drop, I just have to pick up the front camber kit at some point.

I would like opinions on replaceing the ball joints up front while everything is out. I am not sure if I should do all three (?) per side up front or not. They seem to be fine.

Any comments on the bushing install? Any tricks would be appreciated!
 
did you have the recal mods done? you should be able to get a chrysler dealer to replace your front lower control arms for free. You may be lucky to take the stuff apart, and just have them give you new ones.

I recently did my bushings... oh man, you will need that press. I actualy had to machine some tools to press the old bushings out esily, I first burned thr rubber until i could push out the middle metal peice then used the tools i made and an arbour press to get the rest out. its too bad i didnt bring the tools down, i could have let you borrow, but i think you may beable to do it with sockets or something.

I think this belongs in the suspension cadegory.

I had a dealer look at them/test drive and they said that they were fine. I guess I could skip that one (it's the main one that the wheel assy. pivots on correct?) and have them do it when the time comes.

Interesting you mention those tools Focus, I drove through MD this weekend. I was wondering about making said tools. I might burn the bushings out and make the tool at work... that could save me some headaches/time.
 
if you have acces to a metal lathe then you are definatly set, the tools i have are at school in ny though. it will save a lot of time, like it took me meaby 4 hours for one wheel then 1 for the wheel on the oposite of the car, same deal for the back.
