Im really starting to not like the low rise wing on my talon and either want to add a gst half circle spoiler or do the 97-98 talon high rise wing. My questions is will the 97 talon wing bolt into the holes that the 96 wing is in without having to drill new holes? From what it looks like it seems like an even swap. If anyone knows for sure let me know. Thanks :talon:

I wish i knew the answer cause I was kinda curious too.
Because of the talons black top a eclipse wing looks stupid unless you
repaint and do the whole swap.
But that 97-98 talon wing would look great cause it keeps the black top scheme.

I don't believe it directly fits but I hope someone has a better idea.

I have a '96 talon and purchased a '97 talon wing from the junk yard. You have to fill in all of the holes and drill new ones. I believe the '97 talon wings have 3 screws... 2 where it meets the back of the car, and one in the middle (Where the breaklight is). The '96 spoilers have 4 screws (i think) and 2 plastic clips, none of which are in the same locations as the '97 screws. Also the hole for the '97 3rd brake light cable is further back on the trunk than it is on the '96's. It might just be easier to get the whole hatch.

I am going to see if it is possible to relocate the '97 windows-area screws (drill new holes in the bottom of the spoiler) to the '96 locations, so you only have to drill one hole and fill in a few old ones. We'll see.

As far as i know, eclipse spoilers would be atleast as difficult, if not worse, because they dont wrap around the rear window, so they would require all new holes in completely different locations..
