vancouver,
Anyways, long story short. Last night out of no where, my car started horning off and the headlights started flashing when my friend opened the door. It sounds like a factory alarm, not those siren type ones.

It also seems to auto-arm itself after 30 seconds when I shut the door. I tried every button on my transmitter (4 buttons) and none works.

It's getting really annoying, everytime i drive the car, i have to sit there for 2 minutes with the horns going off and everyone staring at me like i'm stealing the vehicle.

Somebody please help. Thanks.

out of noware????? Any switch you might have turned on? any valet switch? anything you might have turned on maybe it be on purpose or accident?

Sounds like the factory alarm, and sounds like you have a trigger switch that's setting it off. Unlocking the driver's door with the key is supposed to reset it, and switch it off.

thanks defiant, that sure did it. it seems when my friend pressed his panic button, it somehow triggered mine.

which works great when someone screwdrivers your lock, thus turning off the security system  and then steals all your stuff
