I was thinking about this earlier. I have never seen one nor have I seen anyone talk about them. Mainly just for looks, obviously the stock spoiler dont weigh anything. But maybe just fiberglass with one or two layers of carbon fiber on top. Im getting a carbon fiber hood anytime and I was thinking of getting just a CF sheet to replace my sunroof. Its an aftermarket sunroof and the glass busted so thats why. I figured with the hood, sunroof, and spolier would look pretty cool. Also does anyone know if anybody makes a front CF lip for a 1Gb?

i know this is an old thread but i was thinking of the same thing.....i still havnt heard of anyone doing it. I would definitely buy one!!! has anyone done this since 5 years has past since this thread was made?

seriously LOL you guys are swimming in parts while us 1g guys have barely any exterior mods to get our hands on. i wonder how much it would be to have a custom 1g 3 piece spoiler made of carbon fiber.

Since it's not a weight saving mod I would do it as a overlay. You take your stock wing scuff it up put a coat of resin on it and wait for it to start to gel. At this point you take some either plain weave or 2x2 3k twill and lay it over the wing and gently pull the sides under the wing and tape the sides down. Now just coat the carbon in resin and wait for it to dry sand smooth if the coat was thick enough to cover all the carbon without any exposed weave. Now do this about 6 or 7 more times and sand down to glass like finish and you will be done. The last coat I would put in some sanding wax if you are using a ester based resin since the outer layer will never fully cure if exposed to the air. This will make sanding 10000000 times easier. If someone came into my shop and wanted it done I would quote it at about 550 or so. I would say materials and everything would cost you about 150 or so if you do it all yourself. It is very labor intesive so put a few days aside for it to be finished.
