Ok, about a week ago I went and bought some Meguiars Quik Wax for my car. After completing the entire car with the wax I noticed I had a problem. On a small portion on the top of the roof I noticed I got some lint underneath the wax coating. My question is how can I remove the lint under the wax coat? I was hoping it would rub away if I tried scrubbing it but nope, the wax is dried and the lint won't come off. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

I have the same problem only mine is little pieces of white shoe polish from the number writting on my window at the track...little white pieces everywhere on a black car = teh sux :thumbdown

Man you had to get me started on quick detail. I hate that stuff but here is how to fix it. When you get that little bit of lint and stuff anywhere on your paint the number one way to remove it is to just go buy a some REAL wax and wax where the stuff was. Preferably I would purchase a mother's clay bar kit and really get everything off. If you haven't ever used a clay bar, just follow directions, and your car with not only look but FEEL better than new.

the problem with the quick wax is that many people use it instead of waxing. also it tends to haze really badly and is a pain in the ass to buff off. get a good even coat of real wax on there and use the quick wax at shows just to remove fingerprints.

ok I went and bought the mothers clay bar to try it out and to see if it fixed the problem, but the results are the same using both the claybar and mothers wax. Only thing I liked about it is, it made my car smooth to the touch. When I was at the autoparts store, I was looking at this wax remover. Would this worked? Or would it be bad for the clearcoat and paint.

clay bar does work. I think quick detailer is supposed to help.

for the shoe polish- go to wal-mart or any hardware store that sells paint. In the paint section, they have this clear-coat safe cleaner called Oops. My car cleaning supplies are never without this stuff. It removes grease, tar, bugs, etc. I used it for window chalk on someone else's car b4. So I imagine it'll remove the shoe polish.

clay bar = another satisfied customer!

best $20 you can spend at the local auto parts store
make sure you only do a small section (like the size of your power bubble at a time)
also, don't let the paint dry while your moving the clay bar
lastly only move in north south, east west direction(s)

I'm really surprised it wouldn't pull the junk in your paint out.

Try the opps, I'm a little stumped what your actually looking at.
