ok lets clear this up:

If i bought a body kit for an eclipse, as weel as say some 97+ projectors, and some black altezza rear lights, woudl it be a simple one day bolt on instal

Ya it should be. I don't know how much experience you have.

Everything should bolt on pretty easily. Unless the body kit you have is of poor quality, then you'll run into trouble.

Remember you still have to paint it. So if the price difference isn't that big, why don't you have a body shop put the kit on and paint it for you?

Body shop near me is charging around 1000 to put everything on and paint it.

=^.^=

what about just a front bumper... and sheesh it sucks things cost so mcuh to paint, black can t be that expensive?

--altezza lights no problem, will take no less than an hour...watch out for the center piece you really have to 'yank' the plastic backing to get to it.

--body kit, agree with siueclipse, will take more than a day...i would suggest molding if you got the money to drop.

--as for the projection lights...i have those (black housing) and you can get those installed (takes less than an hour) however you need a special tool to 'unscrew' a certain piece which is attached to the stock head lights and screw on.....or if you own a body shop and have the capabilites to jack up the car about a couple feet off the ground...you can do it that way.......i have a buddy who owns a shop so i let do that one for me.

good luck

i havent put a body kit on an eclipse yet but me and a freind put euros, a headlight, a body kit, and a spoiler on his civic all in one day

a spoiler is a big diffrence than a front bumper... it was a MOTHER tring to get mine off to put my projectors in.... i never did get it fully off, but i had just enough room to fit a socket wrench in there.... what a pain in the arse!!!!

front bumper is pretty simple, rear is a bit tougher. to actually remove the old stuff and install everything should take about a day. not including the time it takes to fit, prep, and paint the bumpers.

Man, for a daily driver I would NOT mold it onto the rest of the car. The minute you hit a bump or curb and the bumper hits it, your gonna crack something, and then it's gonna cost $$$ to get all that #@%#@%#@%#@% repainted and molded AGAIN. It's just not worth it, and body shops won't warranty any molding work for this reason. You better off just getting it painted and bolting it on.

ahhhh but that's when air bag suspension/adj. springs come into play :thumb:

or just be CAREFUL, know the areas you're driving...and if you don't...that's when you get your gf or best friend to drive you around...LOL

seriously, besides me i do know a couple of people who have their kits molded on and are daily drivers....and you must be careful...it's like a 2000 job if you crack it...

it's all up to you and your budget however i got my kit molded, love the look and i am NOT going back!! ;)

I'm just saying, a $2000 simple mistake really hurts the wallet, plus you gotta shell out another $1k+ for that air bag suspension, which handles like crap.

i took me about 5-6 hours to put projectors altezzas and a full blitz body kit on. it took me two weeks to fully mold the kit to the car. i had only little experience with body work but i molded it and painted it myself. it may take a few cans of bondo but its a hell of alot cheaper than having a shop do it. the only thing you have to watch out for is molding the front bumper on. i hit some uneven pavement and it ripped the bumper right off the car. now i need a new bumper and the whole front end painted, but this time i dont think im molding the front...

yeah it sucked i had to go get the bumper and zip tie it on so i could get home. the wierd thing is the bolts snapped in half but the fiberglass didnt crack where the bolts were? but it cracked right down the center. ill post the pics when i get them developed..
