Tint question

well the previous owner of my car doesnt seem to have been liked too well. my driverside window is keyed. my question is i want to get my windows tinted, but in the light right u can see the key marks. anyway i can sand this out like the headlights, or do i need to hit up the junk yard?

My dad had a similiar problem with his rear window on his 67 Camaro, the guy who owned it before him scratched the window while doing body work. He asked around about buffing it out and the general rule of thumb seemed to be if you can feel the scratch with your finger nail then you probably wont be able to just buff it out. I don't know about wetsanding it because glass is soo hard and you would probably kill the paper before really getting the scratch out of it. I dunno but they do make compounds for buffing out tiny scratches. Good luck.

thanks man. thats a good start for me. ill try to get a pic of it tomorrow if i can get the right lighting. it looks more like a key was taken back an forth across it. picture a 3 year old left alone with a marker. all over the place.
