What Color Is That? It looks awesome man, When I sold my Ranger the paint was bad so i Dupli-Colored the whole thing for $100 (including Clearcoat), turned around and sold it the next day for $4500, LOL, it was a 94 too, sometimes I wish I still had that instead of my DSM.....

Looks like you forgot to mask off some stuff, Looks good though!

im only asking becasue ive seen it done before...

LOL, from first hand experience, let the paint dry good, and lay the clear coat on thick. my ranger looked new again, LOL. I also wetsanded.

What color was it by the way?

I followed the manifacture directions to a "T". and for the ones that didn't get the sarcasim(spelling)it wasn't done with a rattle can. and for the color have you seen any 04 pt cruisers rolling around with that same color its called inferno red with pear metalic

Please forgive my low knowledge in this subject... but

What is wetsanding?

Now, back to topic, you sure did a great job, I bet once you have it all back put together its gona look awesome...! did you also did all the prep yourself? took care of dings and such...

When I was taught to wetsand by a guy who builds show quality hot rods, he said to use dish doap also. Ive always used some dawn in the soap also.

thanks first off.....I guess I just got really excited to get the paint on the car(it only been 8 months of prep...ask my wife)I know I should of took alittle more time masking but when your so close...well if you don't know then you'll never understand. second I got the paint from a painting supply place in town(they deal right with dealers and such)they can put any color you want in a spray can:rolleyes: haha.....the gun I got from a guy at work he's done quite a few paint jobs himself he was going to help but something came up and I had to do it myself. and yes I did all the prep work Dents and crap molded sideskirts shaved door handel lines(which i suggest not to do unless your ready for a pain in the rear) shaved antenna and old spoiler holes look at my gallary you'll see the pics to prove it. sorry it so long

Looks good. Looks like some orange peel though. Did you use base-clear or single stage? Its all in the prep work. I've been painting a couple of years, and I still have some probs sometimes.

To buff it, use 1500 and 1000 to get out rough spots. Then go over with 2000 and 3000. Then buff. Dont use the dish detergent on it. Its rough on the paint.

GOOD JOB!

Laterz

the paint is two stage base and clear, there is a little orange peal but nothng a little elbow grease and wet sanding wount take care of(I got orange peal because the darn garage wouldn't cool off it dryed to fast) oh well don't have anything better to do then spend time on it, as of today right not I just have to wet sand the hood and then I will be polishing on thursday.

oh yah Do lie to the guy it was all spray cans I lost count after 20 you should have seen the pyramid I made with them.:p
