I've read the threads about fiberglass and was wondering what sites sell the strongest ones and how many layers are recommended so they last a little longer?

I want fiberglass cause around here whether its urethane or not its going to break and fiberglass would be easier to fix. Also what kind of effects does weather have on fiberglass(single digit temps in winter, 80's or 90's in summer)?

i just went to pickup some bumpers for my car from the shop i had them delivered to. They are buddy club front and rears made my GTP (www.importfan.com) and they are made with very good quality. The bumpers were 133 each without shipping and they are well worth it IMO.

ill post pics later (i have to go back to get them cause they wouldnt fit in my car) haha

my VIS kit came perfect, no cracks or anything. it was pretty thick fiberglass. i was VERY impressed with the fitment, the front bumper on the right side at the wheel well need to be pull out an inch, but since we screwed the front bumper into the fender, it took care of that no problem. i recomed VIS heavily, if not i hear good thigns about GTP (importfan.com)

I have a bomex front and rear. So far in the past 3 weeks, I have scraped the bomex several times, due to it being low. I have also hit 2 very large rabbits. The 1st was hit at 50 MPH with no indication of the rabbit. It darted out and got splattered. The 2nd one was hit at 70 and was larger than my dog, which weighs 26 lbs. YEAH. This was messy. The front is not cracked at all. BUT the bodyshop welded 1/2" thick steel bars to the car and then bolted them to the bumper to help stabilize it. I have 1 on each side and 2 connecting the the center. The last rabbit busted through the grill and basically exploded. It probably isn't just the bumper being so strong, but the way it is supported. When fiberglass has to flex, it breaks. Brace it up and buy a reputable brand and you should be fine. :thumb: I have pics of the car with the bumper off right now if you want to see them. You can PM me and I can have them hosted. I took the bumper off to have the grills redone and to have it repainted b/c it has a few minor rock chips and the bottom is pretty scraped up.
