well if my title made any sence you get the question. if not here we go...

well i had mine powdercoated and now its all changed color and shatty looking and i was wondering if i could buy from anywhere or person that has a chrome/better looking exhaust manifold cover.

thanks
phil

I dont know of a place that sells them but you could always polish one yourself. The reason colored ones dont last is because they arnt tolerant enough to all that heat. I have an extra upper heat sheild that I could polish. Let me know if your interested.

Libila your turbo im non turbo unless you have a n/t 420a cover. but ya im interested pm me how much if you have it.

thanks
phil

Getting it powder or ceramic coated isnt worth it. Its just a crappy little heat shield.

I took mine off, and took it to my wirebrush grinder (sand blasting is better) Then used high temp primer and then "chrome" color from advanced auto. Then i baked it in my painting oven(probably why the paints held up so well) Its held up for 6 months flawlessly.

The chrome paint ( i think its duplicolor) matches my "almost chrome" dejon tool intake and uicp's.

I would get a new one and polish it up. You don't have to go nuts with a buffing wheel or anything all you have to do is get a quality aluminum polish and spend some time cleaning it up. It is really the best alternative, you will have to keep up on it probably twice a year but it is definately not a headache like painting can be. Aluminum and paint have never really liked each other unless the aluminum is brand new or has been prepped really well. If you media blast it and clean it up real good then you could probably paint it, otherwise avoid the headache and polish it up.

Sorry I didnt even look to see that you were N/T. Just do it yourself to save money, its not hard. Just my opinion though, good luck:thumb:
