do i need to make relief cuts in my roof scoop?

Well is the roof scoop doing anything, or just sitting on your roof? Is it flowing air into the interior of the car, or is it just visual? If it's just on the roof, it will probably act like a big parachute.

PS-Please don't put a roof scoop on a talon. I love talons.

If you don't put some sort of small opening at the rear of it to let the air thats caught in it out I'm sure it will start to wear down the bondo or whatever you used to connect it till oneday possibly it could fly off?

I would simply make a small laceration in the back of it about 1/5th of an high heightwise and let it run the legnth (sp) of the vent itself across the back...

*strictly opinion*

i screwed it on, fiberglassed it after that, then i bondoed and filled it

it looks seamless inside and out, but i think that once it fills up with air its going to just bounce off the scoop, i seriously doubt its going to rip it off and a scoop of this size will barely slow it down because its not that big, the reason parachutes work so good is because i think they have a hole in teh top which allows the air to slowly come out, in the case of my car if there was a relief cut i think it would slow it down more then not having one, and not having a relief cut in teh back isnt going to hurt it at all because it can only fill with so much air...

I wasn't thinking you took all the precautions of attaching it to the roof as you did. Being that said I think it should be fine if it's not that large.
Because a small amount of air won't have a chance to do any damage to the scoop because it will be constantly moving.

*still an opinion*
