when fiberglassing interior pieces.....

do you build right off of the original piece, so its basically the stock piece with a layer of fiberglass over it, or do you make a completely new mold of fiberglass only?

some make new peices, others lay over the stock peice.

Most of my panels are stock plastic, filled and coated to look like fiberglass, but some are going to be 100% fiberglass.

EuroGST- posted about the door panels he is making out of fiberglass. He made a mold from the stock peice by laying a few peices and making a rigid peice. He then said he is going to finish the laupo, and the painting and sanding while its of the car, then glue it back on. Look for the thread, it should be near the middle of bottom of this first page.
