comments on bomex kit please

ok what do you guys think about the bomex kit for my 98 gs-t, i dont have a picture but im sure everyone has seen 2 ### 2 curious for sh**s and giggles, it's the one from the orange supra, i found this kit for 400 bucks i know it's fake and cheap or whatever but my brother paints and has his own bodyshop and he can make it fit like stock, so having said that i have the blitz urethane kit on right now my car is magenta grey pearl, i think i spelled it right, how do you guys think it would look, oh yeah i have 19 inch montegi gunmetal colored rims, and id be getting a cf hood also.

oh i know what it looks like, im just asking what you guys here on the board think about the kit, but thanks for posting the pic so others that havent seen it kinda get an idea.

they look pretty good on Eclipses. I've seen a few.

The rear is too extreme, I hate any kit that has a rear with two openings for an exhaust when you will only use one. I say get the Bomex front and keep your blitz sides and rear if you have them, it will look better.

I think the kit looks pretty good other than the fact that you can have a picnic on the lip of the front bumper. I mean come on, what the hell were they thinking when they had that come out so far?

agreed, the bomex kit is decent, i mean the back isnt my style, i dont like kits that box in your exhust and 2 openings for a car that only needs 1 isnt need, and i think the rear is shaped strangely, the front loks awesome OTHER then that damn park bench, i mean all their other kits dont put a huge lip on any other cars except ours other then tha i say get the front, maybe the sides but not the back

You mean kind of like the OEM front bumper on the 2Gb Talon?

That rear on the kit is ass...way, way over done. The exhaust housings look like they're for quad-pipes -- extreme rice. I think the rest looks alright...the sideskirts looks really good.

I like the sides aswell. And I actually like the Talon bumper you are talking about. My fav. back bumper I saw was a modified stock one with a defuser(sp?) is was diamond plate aluminum I believe. I saw it on a website awhile back and cant find it again.

As far as the front goes, the top part right under the hood sticks out too far for me. Someone needs to make a bad ass wide body for the 2G's. I like seeing rims so deep you can seek shelter in them if you were caught in the rain. Of course you could only pull those off with a wide body, though.

I also am not liking that kit.... Eclipse looks way nicer with the stock body IMO. Just add a front lip, and it will look killer.

people like different things. People seem to think it's impossible for us to have dual exhaust. I know it's probably not practical, but I like it and I do car shows. My car is slow, I know it. Anyway, here's my setup. I have a bomex front and rear and will soon have the bomex mirrors. If you hate the car, that's fine. Whatever. Here are the pics to show the kit.

Personally I think it ruines the lines of the car in a big way.The car is smooth..round and curvy.The kit is boxy, sharp edged and way to big for the car. The front you can park a football team on ...its huge and way off IMO.But all this is personal preferences...everyone likes different things and one should not bash oter ppls cars.
Just try to find something you like and that you think follow the lines of the car.

I dont really like any kit with too many sharp lines. but, 9D9's car looks nice. So its all in the 'eye of the beholder' .
