Carbon Fiber Hood

This may be a dumb question and I just didn't look hard enough but I am having trouble finding a place that sells carbon fiber hoods for a 90-94 talon tsi. Also I was wondering if the eclipse, same year, would have the same size and fitting hood allowing me to buy one under a 90-94 eclipse description, thanks for yout time.

i have the site at home ill post it later the 90-94 eclipse or talon are all the same but the 90-91 have the popup lights so its a different hood but they both exist

I found you can order the hoods from frankscustomfiberglass.com I've been trying to get ahold of them to get a price but the phone just keeps ringing. They do the best work from what I have heard. Getting ahold of them just takes a while. If we can get enough people together maybe we can do a group buy. I have four people in Grand Rapids that want to place orders.
Also where did you order your bumper from? I've found one from Andy's Aerosomthing or other but didn't like how it looks.

well with carbon fiber hoods you have to use hood pins cuz they have a thing for flying up while you are driving. if you don't have a carbon fiber hood and still have hood pins....well.....rice... thats about all let me know if im wrong on the reason for the hps

Unless you have a large FMIC and have to remove the hood latch

wouldn't a carbon fiber hood mess with the weight that you actually want in the front of the car?

Lol, Having less weight in the front of your car will not make the performance worse at all.

Yea, well the ones for 2gs have oem style hood latchs, i have seen many with out pins. Im sure its better, safetywise to have them, cuz its so light.

yea u dont want ur hood flying up on your. (speakin from experince). on a carbon fiber hood on a 1st gen it would break your hoods corners off near the windshield and the power hump would hit your windshield and shatter that and probably put a nice big crack in the hood or shatter that too because CF is so brittle.

For every one who wan't to know a good place to get a carbon fiber hood for a 1g is vis racing they have the hoods and they are in stock . Got my hood there for my 92 eclipse total cost for hood and shipping was $524
