This is for all the 2.0 n/t turbo guys, recently i came across an aftermarket turbo kit for the 4g63 engine and i wanted to know if anybody has done an aftermarket kit for their 1st gen non turbo and your comments on it, im looking to buy the TSI turbo kit from prostreetonline.com within the next few months and i just wanted to know if anybody has done this already, or put any kind of turbo on their car and the difference in hp that they have seen....thanks.

I have completed the n/t to turbo conversion on my 92' Talon 2.0. First off I just bought all the parts that are neccesary to complete it. Then I started to buy some aftermarket parts. Including the UICP, bov, boost controller, fuel pump, and of course the data logger and afc which are crucial to this conversion. I was running a Big16G until it spun a bearing. With that turbo it was a blast. At 10-12lbs on the stock n/t piston compression it felt like it was at 16-18. But fwd has its disadvantages. FWD= No traction with a fast spooling turbo. Since it spun a bearing I am running the stock 14b. I gained a little traction but it is still far from exzistance. I have had a few problems with my clutch setup. I am having some spark/firing problems now. I did have some fuel problems from not having my fuel maps set right on my afc and I was running hella lean. But thats finnaly solved. But truthfully. I wouldnt do it again. I would just buy a turbo awd 1G next time.

It will fit with some custom fabrication. Check: Forums-->Tech Articles-->Turbo and Intercooling-->The 4G63 and how to make a turbo kit for it.
