Ok, so I'm going to be going to the Arizona UTI in July and I was just talking to some one who went there. He said that I absolutley have to have a good car alarm becuase theft is a big issue out there. What do you guys suggest? Somethign that will cut the battery, fuel, or anythign else, and preferably one with a pager. Also, anything for free that I can do would be great, too.

I've talked to a couple more people and they said it is. Even if it's not as bad as they are saying, I still want to invest in a good alarm, just in case.

Here's an easy thing for you to do to at least in most circumstances prevent your car from being stolen: Wire in a switch for your main fuel pump power line (or relay). Put the switch in a secluded location and simply turn it off when you leave the car.

Anyways, Get Anything by DEI . directed electronics like stinger series, or python, their chits REally good. so i put my vote to that!

they have the option of getting add ons, window control, doors, trunk, remote start, temperature control, yadi yadi yadi, pager

starter kill built in.

post any questions and ill get back to you.

Yeah that's what I've heard from every single person I have talked to, get DEI, so that's what I'm gonna do. Also, do you know anything about the Chicago area, specifically Glendale Heights. I just got done talking with the rep from UTI, and I'm probably gonna end up going there instead of Arizona. Am I gonna have to worry about theft as much there?

LOL, im from IL

Anyways, no not really about average. mostly your car is a target if:

You drive around a parking lot with you stereo blastin
(always turn down before entering, i know wanna show off, but gotta hold back worth it to avoid)

your really flashy and you dont try avoiding it.
(Try parkin in better seen visible accesible areas)

you shit talk everyone so the yknow whats in your car.

Other than that, watch on the hwy where 88 and 355 meet, thats got the most cop pullovers. speeding tickets issued.

no tinted side windows.

be nice to the cops, typ they are very cool guys.

get a dual zone sensor, it trips if you are by the car, and if you stick your hand inside, it then goes off full blast.

couple extra piezos to be loud as Fawk. :)

That's what I thought you were talking about but I had never heard of piezo before.

You guys forgot one of the most importaint part of a car alarm....A backup battery. Most theives don't steal cars they steal what's inside.
The trick is to set off the alarm, hide, let the alarm time out(Stop),break the window within thirty seconds, pop the hood, cut the positive on the battery and steal whatever you want. With a backup battery you can cut the main battery in the car but the backup battery will take over. If someone wants to steal you car they can and will.
BTW Viper is the best alarm on the market as well as any alarm made by directed. Look for the Viper 790xv 690xv or 791xv. These alarms have 2 way pagers with 66bit code-hopping. GPS add on features to control your car via the net as well as cell phone uplink to alert you.
I have many other anti theft tricks for your cars. Ever think of putting razorblades in you steering column.Try to hotwire my car?

You got lots? PM me some. I'm up for going crazy with this shit.
