Where did you buy your bc2?Because buddyclub2.com is coming out with the widebody,but not for the 97-99 eclipse.I opened a new tread on this for votes.Maybe if i got enough positive feedback i could try to convenise the company to make it for the 2G eclipse.Because if i do not get enough feedback i am going to combine the bc2 with the kamanari widebody fenders together,on my 98 eclipse spyder.Can you post the cheapest place to get the bc2 body kit.Thanks.

I dont want a widebody kit since I race alot with my car and I have yet to se a widebodykit that holds up to racing.THey tend to crack and doesnt make much better onthe car for racing. (neither does a regular kit but htey tend to hold up at least)

I see when you are putting FG on teh door panels, you use packaging tape to protect the actual panel. After you are done, how do you get the panel to mount to the door?

The packagin tape was just to hold the panythoses in place to kep the shape. The stock mounting holes will not be affected by any of the FG since its just a panel on the outside of the door.Thsi ewntire door will be dressed in alcantra. I wills till use stock mounting holes as usual.

I've been thinking about trying to lay a layer or two over the existing peice. How does it rate on the difficulty scale? how about on the annoyance scale?

reason for me doing this in the first place is sound..I am puting more speakers in as you se. To do so I need to make a mold of fg to be able to hold the speakers. I am not removing anything stock..just building upon the stock doorpanel.Its not hard. Hardest part is to get teh shape you want and get it to hold the speakers correctly.

I see you used tape to fasten the pantyhose to the door panel, but how will it stay attached when you peel the tape off? DO you think the resin would make theglass and pantyhose and whatever else stick to the door (kinda fuse itself on), or will you be using some spray adhesive or something?

Thsi just to make the moldof the FG it self.When tit thigck enough and its the way I want it to be I will atach it with PL400 glue.Its a glue that will never loosen. This will be covered with mocca too and that will be gluiedn in on the edges of the panel and kep the FG in place as well.
So it will not in any way be able to fall off or loosen from the door.
As long as the piece it self is loose I xan remove it and work with it as much as I need to make it perfect.

i am fiberglassing my doors as well. I have about 3 coats of resin on the entire door and some bondo where the cloth was. If it gets warm out anytime soon i can start working on them again, but there is LOTS of sanding to do. Just cause the sanding, the annoyance level is about 9 out of 10, but thats a given with anything with fiberglass.

Yea, i kow the sanding thing. I'm doing acustom sub box in my trunk, and using bondo to coat the other hatch peices.

EUroGST- so you made a mold out of the pantyhose, then after you do a few layers of glass one it, you are pulling it off, finishing it (few mor layers, paint, etc) and then using high strength glue to fasten it back on.. Sounds like a good idea. I think i might try it.

NO ONE knows sanding like me. Im making a full fiberglass enclosure for where my hatch is and where my rear seats used to be, doing my doors all the plastic peices on the interior and sanding the car to repaint. now THAT is an assload of sanding.

I'm doing a similar deal. I just ripped out my whole hatch area, and the reat seat area... Makes the arms tired, and takes A LOT of paper.
