Sold my Talon:(

So I sold my 95 TSI AWD today I already regret selling it. I'm in the market for another one but it still sucks to know that there are currently 2 DSM's driving around the valley that I used to own. Both are extremely clean and low miles. Just needed to share my pain.

No I bailed on that as well haha. Wasn't as cool as I thought it would be and at the end of the day I decided that I didn't want a boosted FWD car. I ended up getting an Audi S series A4. I drove a Focus ST the other day and all I can say is that i'm much happier with my audi.

Lol I have no idea. I know i'm gonna keep this one for a LONG time. I've wanted a 99 for the longest time. I've always been jealous of the full black interior and white faced gauges. I haven't even seen the car in person and I'm already in love haha.
The funny thing is that aside from the 99, my next favorite was my 98 RS. 62k miles, perfect paint, ridiculously clean body with absolutely no rust, pristine interior etc...

I drove my car to eagle river last night to get a new gauge cluster from another dsm'er. It was a nice ride. I just ordered some bushings for my carrier bearings from STM. I should of done that before I redid my entire drive line but oh well live and learn. Hopefully not too many more repairs with this dang thing.

Did you swap everything from a 99 or did you paint/dye it?

That's pretty lucky then. Only 99's came with the full black interior and IMO it is by far the best. If you ever sell the car keep the interior . It is fairly difficult to find a full set in good condition.

Oh I see . I totally missed that. When I sold him the car he said he had just recently been turn on to DSM's and that he did a bit of research. I told him to register on here just read everything he can.

Mine is complete black, including seat belts. My interior is from a 99 GSX, also known as Foxy. I sprayed the parts that never came in black (bottom of the dash, kick panels, rear plastic, etc). Then i wrapped the door inserts, headliner, sunroof shades, and I deleted the visors and Oh sh*t bar. I hate visors with a passion.

I have and always will prefer the Eclipse over the Talon as well as 5 speed over an auto. I simply want a fun, good looking toy. I had planned on doing the body conversion and a 5 speed swap but at the end of the day I would have been spending a ton of money just to get the end result of a stock 2gb 5 speed eclipse. Not to mention that the DSM purist in me couldn't do that to such a clean and low mileage 2ga talon. As much as I hate having to sell any DSM's my new 99 GSX will make it much easier to live with .

That's exactly what I want to do to mine; a 100% black interior. Did your carpet fade at all after a while? I just don't want it to show wear after a few months because if I'm going to go through the trouble of ripping everything out and dying it then I might as well just replace it with an actual black carpet.
