just a quick question outa curiosity since i'm getting kinda tired of losing all my hard earned boost out the injectors LOL does anyone know any special reason why a set of brand new rubber injector seals(the big ones at the base of the injector that fit in the recess of the intake) would leak boost at any psi? I just bought them from extremepsi.com so i'm wondering if either i have non-stock injectors or is there something else i'm missing? maybe a sealant I can use on it?

What kind of injectors? some require a specific seal kit. Also make sure there is no type of sealant or debree in the intake where it seals. And make sure to lube the seal with some grease before install.

Agreed, debris and or not lubing the o rings on installation. I've always used motor oil and never had problems, even though petroleum based lube is not recommended. Gasoline cant hurt them, and hell they're just o-rings.

Do you smell gas at all ? I would think if leaking under boost would also be smelling gas. I've had a them leak before, mostly when car cold in winter though. I replaced mine and no more gas smell. Do they fit snug into the head and not wobble around when fuel rail bolted down ? I would also have to guess you may have different injectors or simply have wrong seals. I have a bunch of extra seals you could try if want. Not sure if you get into Anchorage much. I got my last set seals from FATS for my stock injectors. Ones I ended up putting on my RCI 550's were from Extreme PSI they fit super snug. Let me know if want try some of my extra seals.

yeah i think they're stock injectors(i for sure haven't replaced em and it didn't look like anything was modded when i bought the car either, not that the moron who owned it would have a clue how to mod it in the first place as bad as his repair work was in the first place LOL) definitely wasn't any debris but I didn't know about the lube part i'll have to double check. and the seals kinda fit snug but they're not tight in the intake by any means so i suppose it could just be that the recess's have been warped\oversized. I think i might try another set maybe from ebay or something this time.

Spyder I might be interested, I don't get to Anch much these days but I happen to be going to Kasilof this weekend and have some buisiness in anch on my way back through next tuesday afternoon so I might be able to. How much you want for a set?

Soak them in motor oil for awhile up to an hour or so. This will allow the seals soften and swell. Install them and don't over torque the bolts on the rail. By the way you can buy the seals at NAPA.

i'll give that a try thanks :) i'll see how much NAPA wants for them too but might just stick with online orders, its not too critical right now, it still has enough oomph to smoke anyone being a dick on the roads haha no one around here seems to like pushing it past 95 for some reason WTF!!
