I just bought a 93 gsx. The guy had a boost controller and a bov on it, and a 3 inch turbo-back with a crappy single tip 1 1/2" muffler... those were the only mods on it. driving it home I noticed that when the boost would max out, the car would shake like hell and quick accellerating. I figured out that he had the boost opened up WAY too high... probbaly more than the stock turbo can push... without even a fuel pump or any serious mods. what I want to know is was that fuel cut or "detonation" (don't know what that is) and is my engine going to die? also my car quit the otehr day and now won't start... but I think it might be the fuel pump. please help.

Fuel cut is like hitting a brick wall... literally! And detonation is like a slight hesitation. It's when your plugs are firing not when they are supposed to at top dead center, like if your running high boost on stock plugs with crappy gas.
