Does anyone have pics of a FMIC piping on a t25?

I need the pic of where the piping goes and connects to the t25. I need to know the routing that I can get it to fit retaining the stock fans. Basically I need to prove someone wrong that says you have to route it under the crossmemeber to fit a uncut t25 with stock fans. I know its bogus and Ive seen it done, I just need pics so I can prove him wrong, thanks.

By crossmember, you do mean the bar that goes in parallel with the length of the car that holsters the front torque mount right? If so, then . . .

The Greddy 24 row intercooler does not go under the crossmember, so just find a picture of someone's installation of it.

Yea but the greddy piping doesnt even go twards the driver side. it goes back to stock location, so that doesnt help.

You never mentioned it had to go to the driver's side :p

Although in light of that information, I suppose it would be a fairly difficult affair to make it happen.

My only thoughts are that the elbow would need to be cut off, or the u-bend would probably have to have a very small radius.

I'm curious to see this now, so I'm anxious for your pics cool_g

ask JR (not junior) from ExtremeIntercoolers.com

He makes/made me a u bend for my FPBigT-28.
Goes OVER the crossmember and almost touches/rest up against the front motor(trans?) mount.

He sells it as a 3 pc kit for side to side flow FMIC's for t-25's and 28's.

Later you just ditch the first 2 pieces, hell maybe just the u-bend alone and the other 2 can be adapeted for any other turbo outlet you upgrade to in the future.

I just need a pic of it installed on a uncut t25. Just a picture. Do you know of anywhere I can find one?

Sorry I haven't gotten around to taking a picture, but here is a Paint picture of what I made, it may be crude but it should get the idea across.

my_custom_pipe_resized.bmp

For a little background, I have the XS FMIC kit from the groupbuy and made the pipe that allowed the t-25 or other side firing turbos compatible with the kit. This pipe allows the side firing turbos to shoot towards the drivers side. I will say I have seen pics in that thread of someone using stock piping to go under what I believe you were talking about, the crossmember. This does NOT go under the crossmember.

In order for my pipe to work I had to cut the bottom right plastic fan support (when looking from the back of the car towards the front) on the right fan. This will be where I route my U pipe from the illustration.

Sorry, I just moved into a new place so everything is still in boxes, but when I find my camera I'll snap a few pics of it. Pretty simple project and I had no references to go off of plus I'm a noob still IMO, but I got it to work, so don't feel intimidated about what you can and cannot do. Just give it a try :thumb: and I'll try to shoot you a pm with a photo when I can find the camera.

yeah sorry but my g/f has the camera at her house in VT (im from CT)
sooooooooooo, thatsnot gonna happen from me.

Just link him this thread and he'll see our confidence.

I mean shit... i have one on my car right now exactly like you said it to him:

Side to side flow I/C and a T-28 with a j-pipe like illustrated above.

make sure you do it like they did in that shitty movie "Waiting"

Kick him in the ass and call hin a F@*!

"now this is real important."

Can you see that?

I'll re-size another from the opposite angle

not...really. Anyway you can get a angle from under it? so you see the whole bend? I really appreciate your help so far:thumb:

hope this pic isn't too small.

EDIT: Nope, looks good.

Clear 180 off the turbo, clearly over the support, looks like you won here.

Ah, the sweet "I told you so.." :p

Haha Awesome! Thanks alot bro! You helped me out greatly!

Im still looking for pictures from anyone else. I still would like pictures from other cars too. Thanks again UofACATS

No pics, just a story. Back in my T-28 days, I had a pipe that came off the turbo made a 90* bend up, a 90* bend towards the driver's side, and then a 90* bend back down to hook into piping designed for a down discharging turbo. Yep....up and over the turbo. It was crap....huge PITA. Pro Street made it for me to work with the Intercooler kits they used to sell.

Yea, me 2. I just ordered the ssautochrome 2g kit and Im not shure but I think its designed for a 14b,16g etc, as well.

Anybody have this kit on a T25/T28?
