Hey, ive got a 99 eclipse w/ an intake, and cat back, and a throttle body pretty soon. i was wonder what i should do and in what order i should do it to lead up to a turbo? should i go fuel injectors and afc first? or should i go pistons, rods, ect? and how much hp gain do i get out of each option? thanks for your help!

Okay,

Since you're going turbo in the future. you should:

1)Sell that intake and hopefully you still have your stock airbox so you can buy a K&N drop-in filter.

2)Replace the internals, so you don't have think about it later.

3)LSD

4)Turbo kit.

5)Fuel/Ignition management.

If you want to go further: P&P Head and Intake Manifold, a nice valve job, Tit. valves and retainers, and some Stg 2 or 3 cams.

If someone knows I missed something, please add it.

I can't give you an estimate on hp because every car is different, so it varies.
 
Sorry for sounding like an idiot but whats an LSD? and whats a good price for forged pistons and new rods?

LSD = Limited Slip Differential. if you have ever seen some cars do burnouts youll notice only 1 tire is spinning, this is because most cars have an open differential. when one of the wheels loses traction all of the power goes to it, so the car "peg legs" or spins only the one wheel. the LSD does te opposite. when one tire loses traction, more power goes to to wheel with traction or basically gives you 50/50 power distribution between both wheels. so oth wheels will spin and not ust one. helps out with traction.

pistons and rods or the kits you can buy are usualy around $1100, which include, forged pistons, rods, piston rings, new bearings..etc. basically everything to rebuild the engine other than the machine work.

there are two turbo kits you can buy and both will work fine on the stock bottom end up to about 300hp or 230 whp. which is about 10 psi. if staying on stock bottom end, stick to a little lower psi just to be safe, if rebuilding than you can go higher.
 
so its safe to run 10 psi on stock internals? ya i was going to rebuild the bottom so i could get a turbo but if i can run that high without rebuilding then i will probably just get the turbo.
 
Yes you can run 10psi on stock internals but I would not do it for a long time. I think you should get them in this order
1, Turbo kit
2, re-build,clutch & lsd at the same time it will save money on install
3, fuel management
4, then Head work if you want it
