Hey just got my new car and right now it is total stock i want ta make it turbo how much car knowlage am i going ta need to install it my-self w/ a friend who knows cars?

the hardest part is the fuel and the oil line and even that is easy putting on a turbo kit is not that hard it should only take a weekand to do it. It you have Q's just post them:dsm:

Had your user name not said girl in it, people would have been all over you like a pack a wolves tearing you apart, as your question has been asked a million times. But since dsm women are few and far between.....Welcome, and feel free to ask anything you would like.

if you are asking the question "how much do i need to know" then it is pretty safe to assume that you do not know enough. use the search. read old threads. there are sooooo many like this. see if there is someone that has a turboed 420a that lives near you, and meet them. have them give you a visual of their engine bay and their setup. have them walk you through the install. do research though!!! the more you read, the better off you will be. good luck!:thumb:

I was a rookie with mechanic's and my buddy was very good. I was surprised with how "easy" it is to turbo our cars. Run a few hoses, couple of wires, and a few pipes. Very little customizing has to be done. besides what was mentioned with the oil pan, and i had to remount the fuse box and do a little fender drilling.

I would recommend however PREPARE and RESEARCH everything before you try it. I did for about 2 months by reading the boards and it paid off greatly. Expect about 15 things to go wrong with the install and a lot of runs to the auto store.
