Not 100% sure where to post this. Recently my 93 Eagle Talon TSi AWD was totaled. I'm buying the remains back from the insurance company, ufortunalty my insurance is now going to be through the roof and i still want to have a turbo DSM. So for now i'm getting a beater for the time being. My question though is if i bough a NT chassie and swaped in everything from my Turbo Chassie, in there would it work??? My driveline, Tranny, and Engine are fine on the turbo modle. Just the frame and exterior is messed up. So if i pick up a NT chassie and fix it up to become a Turbo modle and register it as a NT would this work??? or what other types of cars would my 4g63T drop into?? I really like DSM's and i don't want to leave them because of this accident.:talon:

The motor would probably drop right it as long as you get a 2.0 NT (would be easier that way) but unless you plan on converting it to awd you might want wanna just find a turbo fwd tranny.

Yea i was thinking about the FWD only, I know AWD would probably take a bit more fabing that i can take. Also i know the Dodge Colt, and Hyundai Excel are compatable with the 4G63T, are there any other types of cars that will except this motor???? Has anyone here done the swap for a NT chassi to FWD turbo ????

hmm the only difference besides the engine are the fuel system, ECU (four wires), brakes, and ummm thtas about it... the engine has alot of differences though.. MAS, injectors (size and impedence), cams, pistons, etc...

oh yeah the transmission casing s stronger on the turbo and the gear ratios are different... i think thats it... forgive me if I missed anything..

you should go into the N/T forum... a ton of people have done hte swap...
