I'm getting a 2.2L stroker and am curious on which turbo and psi would be best. I've read that this block can handle 650hp and I don't plan on buying a turbo kit because have enough connections to make a custom kit myself. I just need some input on what size turbo would be best.:dsm:

i was reading about a 2g20g and found that it doesn't boost till 3000-3200pm's and is good for fwd. Would this turbo be too big for a 2.2 stroker and would i be able to drive with 14-16psi?
thanks for your help:thumb:

no the 20g is smaller then the ones i said, what other mods and engine set up are you doing. also what 1/4 times do you want, give me more info and ill tell you more

Any of the garrett GT turbos will be fine GT30, GT35, GT35-40R< that is a really big turbo GT30 can support up to 500hp GT35-40R up to700hp!! all of the gt turbo's are ball bearing too. Find out how fast you want to be and weather or not you car is going to be a street or race car then you can decied what turbo to buy.

I'm gonna be getting new cams and underdrive pulley set. I want my car to be street legal, but I will take it to the strip too. I want to be able to run with the gst's and beat the gst's that have few mods. If possible maybe take out a domestic or two. I just want to be able to run in the mid 12's
Thanks for the help:dsm:

In that case my friend a t3/t4 should do it. You could go with a larger turbo, however those create more lag. I would say stay with the t3t4 cause it will give you all the power your looking for while maintaing a desent spool.

what kind of psi would i be looking at if i went with a t3/t4? With the GT30 doesn't that come with 2 different trims?

with any turbo on a nt eclipse you cant push more then 10psi on your stock internals. You will need to give it a nice bottom end... www.howellautomotive.com has a good one that many people have bought. If you buy the bottom end kit (rods, pistons, etc..) than you can safely push about 15-17 psi and have a nice 13 sec car...if you wanna get into the 12's your gonna need LSD to get some better traction...drag radials...or maybe slicks for traction...traction is the biggest problem...oh ya while your at it get an apexi safc so your car doesnt run too lean or rich (too little or too much gas)

Hes buying a stroker Eclipse96Ryder not a normal 2.0 420a engine. Its a fully built engine from Howell automotive so he will be fine.

Since hes FWD a t3t04 hybrid would definately be a good turbo to consider as far as turbos go since it spools full at about 3,500-4k rpm's depending on the specs of the turbo. If you want a larger turbo than that then definately consider a 50trim I think.

If you get something that spools to fast all your going to do is eat tires all the time. :( That would suck :( But that setup should be for 12's if you go with an LSD and a good clutch/flywheel combo.

Goodluck and whatever you do... Let us know what you decide!

should of went with 60-1, call up agp they dont even like selling the 60 they recomend the 57 or 60-1 and they skip the 60

so a 57 or 60-1 trim from agp would be good for fwd? How much boost could i see from that on a stroker?

i know the 60-1 with a stroker you could probly trough anything u want at it, but im not so sure ive never used either of them so im just going on what think and what ive seen on other people car

when my taxes come in I'am going to buy a 2.2 from either howell or FTY and go with a F.A.S.T standalone and get it tuned at www.pfispeed.com it is just 2700$ for theF.A.S.T that includes all the parts, install, inj's and dyno also garentee there work for a life time.
