First a little history i had a 97 Civic then went to a truck now I have a 97 Eclipse and i want to know what kind it is. the guy that sold it to me said it was a GS, then a friend said the same thing because he said an RS doesnt have any power options. But my insurance company classifies it as an RS. Second of all i want to push 250 horses through it what are some suggestions. I know i need a big turbo and a build the motor but do i have to mess with the compressionand all that stuff. Any help would be appreciated

Best way to get to 250 is to buy a turbo kit.Higher compression for less boost, lower compression for more boost. You dont really need a massive turbo....
And Im pretty sure there is some rs's out there with power options.

And just as you said, they are options but on GS models they were standard.

A stage 2 turbo kit at like 8psi will probably get you 250bhp, but if you want 250whp, you might need upgraded internals and definitely a better fuel system.
