star turbo kit help/map sensor question

i am planning on doing a star performance stage 1 turbo kit to my 96 GS. People that have already doen this modification to your car, did you install it or did you have a shop do it for you? does the stage 1 kit come with everything that i need? i was reading on overboost.com about the map sensor and about something like they respond poorly to aftermarket turbocharging. did you guys have to buy a mechanical valve or "black box" to fix this problem with the map sensor.

im sorry if this was already answered in previous threads, i just couldn't find exactly what i was looking for..

try installing it yourself, it will be fun and you will learn a lot in the process. to take care of the map sensor dont use the black box. it sucks . use missing link. it will take care of the map sensor seeing boost.

missing link is a check valve that you can get at many places. www.nipponpower.com for one for 80 bucks. VERY easy installation.

Missing link(ML) is vevy good some people have both a ML and a black box just in chase one false but I have never heard of anyone having problems with the ML it is the eastest thing to install also you can find it for 50-80$ deponding on were you go call Bill at www.Gottude.com he can help you out

Is there anyway to see if the "Black Box" isnt working right besides a POW. just wondering if i should invest in the "Missing link."

if you are not getting fuel cut then you are ok. but beware.
