Just wondering, Do i have to have a boost controler to get my boost above 5 psi? or can i adjust my wastegate and how?

Just get the MBC it's a lot eaiser.

pretty cheap as well, standard is like 85 bucks from turbo XS. I have had 1-2 lbs of creep in 1st with it but rock solid from there on.

you can just unplug the boost signal hose and boost whatever the turbo can boost haha, then again you'll probably blow your engine.

Watch out for those cheap MBCs, I had a 15 dollar ebay boost controller and the ball go jammed in it and blocked the boost signal, I got boost spikes and all this shitty stuff.

mine wasnt all that cheap, I got it from 420Avenger when he parted out his ride but in comparison to the electronic ones..... yeah, really inexpensive

Atleast a MBC should be used for boost control. My friend made is own MBC for under a dollar so the design is quite simple. If you want the piece of mind of a quality MBC then I recommend the TurboXS unit.

Sure it is more expensive then a few other brands - but it is a guaranteed quality unit that will not 'crap out' on you like I have heard of others. I use this MBC and was surpised just how much of a difference it actually makes. Other than the improved scalability, boost pressure seemed to come a lot smoother. Worth the money fo' sure.
