is this radiator going to clear my turbo

ok i am rebuilding my engine and i ordered a new radiator for my car cause it was leaking. well i thought i was getting a regular stock one. i was in for a surprise today. this thing is big and for $116.85 you can't beat it. here are some pics of it compared to the stock one.

What raditor is that? well if it dont fit take it back and tell them that it's the wrong one.

Yeah it'll fit I believe that is the rad for the automatic models. The auto cars had a thicker core and a tranny cooler along the bottom. Look at the bottom of the RAD, if it has an extra passage downthere it's the auto cars RAD. If it is that stock auto rad then it will fit with your turbo.

yeah it has the extra stuff to hook up to the tranny cooler. i guess i need to plug those things off since i have a manual tranny. well thanks guys for the info.

I would take it back and get at least a Fluidine! The are thinner and flow a ton better. Not to mention upgrading your fans to a slimmer design.....such as an FAL or something....just an idea!

Yeah a fluidyne would be awesome but it's like $400. Stick with what you have. Why plug up the extra core, can you say oil cooler?

i would get a fluidyne but the price is to much right now and all i need is a stock replacement. where can i get an oil cooler? and which one do i get? i will hold off on the oil cooler for right now and i will do some research on it. thank guys for all the help. also on the howell bottom end kit i am getting .20 over so that means the bearings should be .20 over or should i leave them std.

Hey, that is the question I was going to say, what if you use a Automatic tranny radiator, and use the transmission cooler for an oil cooler, could that work?

That's exactly what I ment. I don't see why it wouldn't. As far as the bearings unless you have messed up your crank then get standerd ones.

Clean the ATF out of the bottom of that radiator, then use it for oil. Think of that plumbing man, it is so close to the exhaust housing I am sure preasure wouldn't be effected much.
