What turbo?

Hey guys,
So two days ago my turbo just stopped working and it sounds like a ziptie now. So im in the market to get a new one. My final goal for the car is 500hp. But i am going to be going into my freshman year of college so i don't have all the money in the world. I want to run 400hp daily. I will be doing the suspension and better tires this winter but i need a turbo right away. What do you guys suggest me getting? I have a built low compression 420a and i will be going with megasquirt. Thanks guys.

i think a s20g will be able to get you in the 400whp range idk about 500whp though. also is a great turbo as far as spoolin up quick.!

I already figured out what went wrong and i already fixed it. Thats why im on here asking this question. My last turbo had an external wastegate so need a turbo without an internal wastegate.

for that power level, you really should look at an external gate..a 20g will be good for 400, but thats about to push it to its limits. any PTE 5857 on up to 6067 would be good for you, anything bigger is exensive over kill. Theres also compareable BW and turbonetics turbos. My guess is you want cheap to.. if so stick with a good 20G.
