Does anyone have information to contact the makers of the Star Turbo kit? I bought a Stage II kit from Overboost.com and come to find out the adapter that is for the oil feed line doesn't go into the engine block due to different threads on the two so if anyone has a number or email that I can get ahold of the maker of the kit so I can ask them why this "bolt on" kit isn't made for the car I ordered it for (97 Eclipse GS)

What do you mean tap it? What else has everyone else who's installed this kit done? Anyone else have the same problem I did? I'm trying to get this figured out by friday (Cause I'm leaving Friday for HIN Seattle and would like to roll up there in my own car LOL)

You don't need to contact the owner, just go to a hardware store and get your fittings. It's just a 3/8" male, 3/8" female, and then whatever inch T they use. Take a pic of your part so I can understand if you didn't get the right part or if you just don't get it.

Hey 98 turbo where did you tap for it? Don't go giving install advice that is not correct. (I only say this because of the down pipe statement you made the other day about it not working with the auto tranny) I'm not trying to be a jerk here but did you install the kit yourself? I know you are very passionate about the star kit, but these statements and misinformation are what push people away from it.
All you need to do is get a tee to put in the block where the oil sensor came out. (take the sensor with you to the store to get the right size tee) Then screw the tee into the block and put the oil sensor in one side of the tee and the oil feed line on the other side of the tee. You may need some reducers to get from the size of the tee to the size of the feed line.

Well I knew where it went the problem that I was having was that the threadnig didn't line up. I'll try what kirby suggests to see if I can get that to work (would also be nice to be able to hookup my oil pressure gauge then too). The adapter they gave me was aluminum, about 1 1/2" long with a screw on the top and a hole in the back for the oil switch. Nothing special but would have been nice if they gave me the right fitting piece in the FIRST place...thanks again for the advice I'll check it out.

Sorry I read his thread wrong.............thanks Mom I appreciate the slap on the wrist.

Problem solved. The guy took it to his buddy's machine shop and they re-threaded the adapter and then decided not to tell me it was done. When I go up to get it this Friday I'm going to double check everything to make sure they got it all setup right.
