ok so the kit is getting installed, and the shop is saying there might be a fitment issue because my car is an automatic , yes its a used kit and was installed on a 5speed car first. The are trying to say I need them to bend a new down pipe but its a 200 dollar difference between using the old and them making a new one.

so basically is there a difference between the downpipes for auto and manual transimission?

Ive never heard of this before OMG .
Thanks for your time,
Thom

Umm..... bull S**t the downpipe doesn't go over the trans, it goes over the oil pan. Ask them to show you why it doesn't work on the acctual car. Do not let them make a new one unless they show you exactly why it won't fit. If it was any different between 5 speed and auto then both Star and HRC would have 2 different down pipes with their kits, just like they have different fuel systems for different years. This is absolute bullshit don't let them touch it till they show you what they mean. Next thing you know they will tell you your johnson rod is broken.

to answer my question, and anyone else who may have the same question...

same downpipe, the lack of a flex section made it a tight fit, but a fit none the less.

I had the same problem when I started installing my kit. It wouldn't fit down by the catalytic converter, nor did all the holes line up on the turbo housing. For as widespread as this kit is, I'm sure running into a number of brick walls.
