I'm not getting the propper fuel pressure increase. The highest pressure I can get is 70psi. No matter how much pressure goes to the fmu. Any ideas where to start.

Issue two my 1g bov is leaking. Is there any way to dissassemble and rebuild or clean it?

What FMU is it? And what is the ratio?

Have you checked the vac line to make sure there are no leaks? Another thing to check would be the diaphram to make sure it is sealing properly and not torn.

Its a vortech and its supposed to be a 12:1.

How would I check the diaphram? I just did a BLT. Side note sooo many leaks...

You unscrew the dozen or so screws on the back of the FMU and inspect the diagphram for holes. Hold it up to a light, because even pinholes will cause a problem.

I'd fix your boost leaks before checking anything else, though.

I LOL-ed at the title. ROFL

There's definitely something not right. When the pressure is going up, does it shoot up fast or does it take it's time before it gets to 70psi?

Title is awesome :)

All above recommendation are valid. Do them. Also, your profile lists that you have a Wally 255 - be sure that this is a 255HP, GSS342. It should be stamped onto the body of the pump itself.

It is a gss342. Ill take it off and recheck it. Boot leaks minus the bov and flange are fixed. Pressure shoots right up and stops at 70 psi.

I noticed when I took the top off the washer inside is bent into a ever soo slight conical shape. Does any one else have a picture of their metal disk that I can compare to?

So its not my fmu. I clamped the return line before the fmu, my fuel pump should hit 165psi, correct? Well is sits at 75. So great a fuel leak. Only I opened my hood and checked under the car but nothing, no drips no sprays. Then I heard it. A splashing in the tank. "But wait, the return is blocked, where is it coming from?" Then it hits me. The little piece of rubber hose on top of the fuel pump... the stock clamps must not be holding. *facepalm* I am on my way to get hose clamps now.

Nope the fuel is coming out of the relief hole. At 75 psi. Thought these were for 165? It is a gss342 where do I go from here? Is it a bad pump?

Meanwhile my low pressure gss317 does 90 psi.

Bump

Am I right to suspect my fuel pump is bad?

I got mine from SBR. I have sent SBR Joe an email. I am tunning my low pressure pump ATM and it running good and rich at 6 psi. So for the time beingthats where it site.

They haven't pissed me off. How could they know the pump has a bad internal relief spring?
