I want to know how much everything all together cost, including hahub stage 2 and internals and clutch an installs ,labor and everything, I need an idea????????:dsm:

you know it would probably only take you 2-3 minutes to do the research and find out for yourself, and then you'd feel better knowing YOU found it. asking how much it all costs is hardly a valid question, there are so many variables that it could'nt be aswered accurately, figure out what parts you like best and price them, its simple.

why do u gotta be a bi***. why can't you just tell him and help soemone out

look dude, I know how much the shit cost if you price the parts individually! I am not ####in stupid, I was just wondering if there are some dealers or somthing with a good deal, why would you be a bi*** about that, ...............................its just a question.

bi***....

well, im getting the hahn stage I for $2100.

my buddy is helping me putting it in for about $300.

so im looking at around $2500 after the unexpected little things that will come around on the install.

however, i am getting around a $200 break on the kit itself, and regular labor would be around $800 for the kit. so realistically, you would be looking at around $3100. and that is without an intercooler.... i would say around 4 grand for and intercooler and the install... yep, this sh*t gets pricey as hell.

Both of you, profanity will not be tolarated on this board, and in this forum for sure. If you want to be banned keep it up!

Now that the warning is out ot of the way, to attempt to answer your question. Now "allwheeltsi" is right when he says there are far to many factors to even attempt to answer your question. The parts portion you can obviously figure out on your own, as you have stated. However, labor is another story, who really knows. What I mean by that is you will have to call around to individual shops to find out exactly how much they charge. Some charge by the hour and some by the application. However if it's a number you are looking for, I'd personally say that you are up near the $2k range for labor alone. That includes turbo install, motor rebuild, which I would guess would at the very least take a week if not two. The hardest part is the motor, because it has to be broken down, tanked, head decked, cyclinder's hone, and depending on if you want more like the head ported and polished and a good valve job then the price goes up.

What I've just listed are just some of the factors involved in having someone else do your work. IMO again I think you are looking at around $2K minimum in labor. Hope it helps!!!

my bad about the cussing and all but i am tired of hearing people fuss about how the person could find out in other ways. what u did was tell him the factors and about how much they might cost. allwheeltsi could hav done what u did or just gone to another thread. he didn't have to put a guy down.

I'm going to have to defend allwheelTSI on this one, if you read what i've quoted, it's word for word, and he at no point puts anyone down. However, I can quote others in this thread that did! Back on topic please!!!

first off i would like to thank 98Turbbo420A for his support is this matter.
i would like to tell you guys that i am not trying to put you down or mislead you.. and i'm not trying to be a "bi***" as you so kindly put it. i was just trying to explain to you in a short way that one mechanic may charge you 25/hr and one may charge you 95/hr. you could buy a turbo kit for $2000. you could buy one for $5000. you could spend $200 on pistons you could spend $1500. you see where 'm going here? if you gave us specifics then the question could be answered correctly, but then again if you knew the specifics you could answer your own question, that just goes to show you that research is very helpful in a situation like this. so instead of being lazy and wasting your time insulting people, you could spend your time looking for answers to questions you have.

allwheelTSI. i don't wanna Start anything. And ^^^ this guy is right about me. i was that first to put someone down. my bad yall

Hope this helps a little bit....costs so far...
HRC Stage 2 w/SMIC=2900
Metal Upper radiator hose=15 used
Vortech SFMU=free(gotta love friends)
Head work(springs, valves, titanium retainers)=300
Custom 2.5" DP w/cat eliminator=150
Built Shortblock(saving pennies right now)=1600
That's all I have invested so far and even with a $hitty 60' time of 2.3 I pulled out a 14.7@94.
Best trap speed so far has been a 95.41. That cost is only what I have invested since the turbo went on. Otherwise your looking at the following:
Pacesetter cat-back=170
Magnacore plug wires=60
AEM cam gears=250
Upper gasket kit=100
That's about all for the power related mods.

I got it from Howell before they raised their prices through the roof, but even then it was an experience. They shipped me the fuel system for a 95 twice. The first time Gary himself fought with me for half a day that a 96 was still OBD1, so finally he broke down, called Hahn and was corrected. Then he had the nerve to tell me I had to pay to ship the wrong part back to them. So when I shipped it back, what do I get a week later?? ANOTHER 95 fuel system. I called Hahn directly the second time and they got me the right parts, of course I had to pay to ship the wrong part back, and then they sent me the right stuff friggin COD!!!!! So moral of this story, NEVER DEAL WITH HOWELL!!!!!!!!!!

LOL do what I did, I told him who i was, exactly what I wanted, and in the subtlest of terms not to voice his opinion. I guess when they hear you are a "wiseman" from DSMTuners.com they tend to listen. Sorry you have a bad experience.
