I am going to buy a stage 2 hahn racecraft turbo kit, and right now I have stock pipe's.I ma going to buy greddy evo, but I was wondering does it matter if I still buy it for the non-turbo edition ,is the pipes big enough????or should I get it for the GS-t

The stock exhaust system on the NT is very restrictive, so therefore will create back preasure and could start exhaust leaks. So therefore, I would make sure that you include a Exhaust system in your "Things to do" list.

sorry....maybe wrong convo...but.....would punching the cat in a n/t take away too much back pressure in a G1.....and...back to your subject..could it actually help between times of upgrading your exaust for your turbo upgrade?

dont just punch the cat out, it will make a larger area for turbulent exhaust gases to just make more backpressure, slide a pipe inside the cat and weld it in or use a test pipe

I dont know how restrictive the exhuast is on 1Gs but on the 2G NT cars our exhaust piping is the exact same as the ones on stock GSTs, the only difference is the muffler. Of course it would definitely free up some horses if you upgraded, but it wont hurt anything, not at low boost levels anyway.
