I have two turbos that I can use for my setup here. One all I know is that it is a T3/t4 50 trim turbo( I think ebay's version) and the other is a Turbonetics A/R RATIO .70 • TURBINE HOUSING A/R .84 • COMPRESSOR HOUSING .70.

I was wondering what each ones approximate spool time would be and if anybody has used the ebay turbos with success. I'm going to be running 4-8 psi and I want to know what you guys think I should go with. I'm new to turbos so could somebody explain what the A/r ratio, Turbo housing A/R, and compressor housing numbers mean?

Thanks in advance

PS. I searched but couldn't find any clear information so thats why I posted here

I never thought I'd say this, but go with the smaller ebay turbo, that turbonetics is going to take forever to spool. If you had a built motor and were going with a nice fuel setup I'd say the turbonetics. BTW, I'm assuming they're both used, any shaft play in either of them? In/out or side to side. Could also be a deciding factor for you

Thats what I was thinking. I was going to use the smaller one first and then the bigger if it fails, they should be able to use the same downpipe right? yes both used and no, no shaft play on either. the 50 was on a 2g gsx for about 5K miles and the bigger was only used for 1500
