Head Flange question

i have a 97 eclipse 420a my question is would a 420a dodge neon head flange work on my car...if that makes any cents?

I'm almost positive the flange will fit... of course, a Neon manifold itself will not. Remember the OBX ramhorn manifold? It was originally a Neon manifold cross-marketed to 420A DSM's. It bolted up to the head just fine, but the runners interfered with the thermostat housing. The worst case scenario is that you might have to shave about 3/8" off the side of the flange since our thermostat housings are so close to the manifold. Some flanges don't take that into account, and I believe they were originally designed for the Neon in mind. Either way, it's no big deal.

The bolt pattern and port spacing are identical between the 2gnt head and the Neon head. Yes, it will bolt up. The padding may vary between manufacturers/cutters, so as Paul stated, you may have to remove some metal to clear the thermostat housing. No big deal.
