Toronto,
Anyone who has or knows how to operate the profec B or the eo-1 boost controllers.

I was running 9-10psi w/ these settings

Set: 25
Gain: 30
Start: 5.0

well as the summer went on and I started noticing that these settings kept creeping up to 12psi and then 14psi.

I can't tell if its something else, but I just wanted some help setting it up again since I was told I didn't do it right in another thread a while back. So I came for help to rule out some possiblilities.

Have you turned the boost controller down yet? I know its a stupid question but changes in weather can cause this. Also I see that you are using the delta gate. You might want to check it out. If the diaphram has a hole in it, it will take more air to open the gate. Get it? Try adjusting your boost controller and see if your boost changes. If it dosent then I bet your solenoid is going bad.

also, with the greddy profec b-spec 2 EBC, you have to "wake up" the unit by pressing a button on it after it turns on. I usually just switch between hi and low when I start my car.

You know I do like the sound of the wastegate idea. I've had it for a while. And the car is so used to having a small exhaust leak afer the wastegate but before the dump tube, maybe it has just been over compansating since I got the leak fixed.

I'll go for a test run tonight and see what I can find out. School is starting soon so I won't have that much time left.

See if the boost is where it should be with the ebc turned off. It is is then you can rule out everything other than the BC. 'Set' % is what you use to set the desired boost level. Gain is what you use to adjust the consistency. If the boost is irratic gain is too high, if it drops off or increases as the rpm increases its set too low. Start boost should be 2.5-3psi before the desired boost level. It is possible the solenoid is on its way out or the little filter that you install on the boost line to the control unit is clogged.

My Deltagate's diaphragm was leaking so bad, it wouldn't let me boost past 3-4psi. Despite taking it apart numerous times to inspect for holes, I only found the problem when I finally tried crimping off the boost line running to the wastegate. After I crimped it off, I was boosting infinitely... I finally ditched it for a TiAL. But my suggestion is to definately look into that.

This may sound rediculous, but I could even tell there was a hole in the diagram by blowing into the wastegate's boost line. It absolutely would not hold any air at all... it was like blowing into one of those coffee stirrers.

well after turing the boost controller off, the wastegate is holding it where its supposed to be at 5psi the intake manifold. It spiked to 6psi, but that was me getting on it hardcore in all gears.

I"m starting to think that my solinoid is fine, but that there was a loose wire or something going on behind my dash.

My gauges would flicker from dim to full on and back and forth for a couple nighs, but I check the battery connections fuse box connections with a multimenter and everything is fine. I thought my stereo wasing doing too much so I bought a capicitor for that and it still did it for a night or two. The headlights don't dim or anything, but I thinking about running a voltage capcitor box off the battery and install the ground wire kit I have laying around.

I just recently did my alternator when I got my car running again back in march.

Also I was riding around tonight running some errands and I didn't notice the gauge diming problem at all. I'll have to pay more attention but for now i'm leaving the boost controller off.
