hey guys, i just finished putting my sfmu and walbro 255 in my car before i put the turbo in. I followed all the instructions on how to install an sfmu on a 96+ car. I removed the hose from the stock fpr and sealed that hole that the hose attached to with jb weld and its not leaking. I connected the bottom of the sfmu to my return line, and the side of the sfmu to my fp gauge then the test port. I put some gas in the tank and try to start up the car and it will not come on. my fuel pump is working because it makes that whirring sound when i turn the key, and there were a coouple of leaks that i had to fix. Now theres no leaks. I can't figure out what the problem is and i really need my car drivable. what do you think the problem is? I'm incredibly pissed right now. o yea i also installed a missing link in the car, i dunno if that changes anything.

is it getting spark? Check fuses too. Air, Spark, and fuel are needed to start... find out which one of these isn't there.

i left it there because on 2gnt i was told that it just needed to be sealed. good news i got the car started. I ended up lowering my fuel pressure to like 20psi and it started( although i thought our static fp was suppose to be in the high 40's low 50's). Well now white smoke is coming out of the manifold. last week i removed my exhaust manifold in plans of putting my turbo on, but now i have to have the car running by tuesday so I put the old manifold back on. I'm not sure if maybe i didnt seal it properly?

o yea i got another idea. you think maybe its smoking because i was so rich earlier trying to get the car started? I kept pumping the gas pedal and my fp was close to 60. Could it be unburnt gas?

Un burnt gas is black. Coming from your exhaust it should be an exhaust leak. use a new gasket on the manifold, and if it still smokes, check your compression and make sure its not internally in the motor.

Your not throwing any cel's are you?
