i had a couple of leaks and tried to find them the other day. i found one oil leak from the sender behind the block. that is a easy fix. however i found another but i cant tell from where. coolant drips from my tranny. how does this happen. i thought cooland only went through the rad and the engine block?

coolant dont go to the tranny, so its just settling there, and drips.

lower coolant hose seems to like to leak alot, check for wetness. best thing to do is get a coolant pressure tester pump it about to 16psi and look 4 the leak.

coolant also goes to the TB and heater core fyi

I and a couple of my friends had the same problem. I check for leaks and came up aight. I replaced the radiator cap as well. If your still dripping coolant, you might need a new water pump. And if you do and haven't already replaced your timing belt, might as well get it all done at once.

motors got about 2000 miles on it. just built it about 2 months ago. new water pump and oil pump. 8.8:1 je and eagle rods.

what size deep socket to i need for that oil pressure sender. i used a wrench last time but the block was out of the car. a socket would make the job much easier.

ok just a update. my coolant leak was from the heater pipes going to the tranny side of the head. and the oil sender size is 1 1/16.

i haven't got to the oil leak yet cause i am having fuel problems. my stupid fmu makes me run rich and i am fouling out my plugs. is this common?

try to

1) check your gap on your plugs (.032)
2) make sure your still running stock injectors.
3) Could try a 6:1 disc in the FMU
4) Fuel pressure gauge could tell you some new information about your problem.
5)Try to use a SAFC to lean out your mixture.

FYI: definatly do not drive like this. I had my 12:1 disc in and just jumped up to bigger injectors (370cc), and I planned on changing the disc very shortly, but in the 3 or 5 days that I didn't change it, I blew the rings in cylinders 1&4, and the headgasket from preingnition etc.

Instead of fixing that problem, I opted to do a rebuild. And run a different fuel set up.

sfmu... problem fixer

Maybe, you'd have to use a formula to figure it out. go check out corbrin's fuel set up page on 2gnt.com and use the formula to figure out what kind of fuel pressure you should be running with the stock injectors and fuel pump etc.
