engine rebuild problems

i rebuilt my motor and started it. it idled for about 15 mins and then through a cel and died. it has a new coil and wires. but i am getting no spark. the harness for the coil pack might have grounded out on the egr tube. could i have blown a fuse. if so where is it? i have fuel what else could it be. i pulled the wires out and cranked the car over and no spark. i should see spark right? what shoud i do? please help

i did a compression test today and the #2 cylinder read zero. how could this be. the rest read 150. even with no compression in a cylinder the car should still run on three cylinders right? could someone please help me? thanks

i am strippn' off my head tomorrow to take a look at the #2 cylinder and valves. could some one tell me if when the key is in the on position is one of the wires going to the coil pack giving a positive 12 volts. cause none of mine do. thanks

i found out what my problem is. the exhaust cam locked up. so the pin holding the gear onto the cam broke and the gear was just spinnin'. so i am getting a rebuilt head and should have it monday. could there be a problem with my oil pump. i can see oil in the the head but the cam should not have seized up like that. how can i check my oil pump out without blown' another head. thanks

maybe you over torqued your cams... when you reinstall them, use more assembly lube than would ever be needed. Remember... Lube is your friend
