im in need of a wire harness for my engine of a 1g gst. i was told that a n/t harness will be fine will this work

No there are some minor diferences in the wires. you could use one then patch in the other wires you need, but this is usualy more trouble than it is worth :nono:

No, they are definitely not alike. I,m in the middle of swapping from 420A to 4g63t and tranny, major differences there. Still don't know what to do about a fuse/relay box. :barf:

There are differences in the wiring harnesses, primarily plugs that exist on the turbo harness that don't on the N/T harness (knock sensor, resistor pack, etc). Also be aware that if you get a 91-94 wiring harness many of the plugs will NOT be compatible with your 90 engine. Off the top of my head, the CAS and the coil pack connectors are different, I don't remember if there are more. Other things (sensors, injectors, etc) are the same, so you could take a N/T wiring harness from any 1G and patch these things up on your harness. I did this with my 1991 project car, I had a spare 1G N/T harness laying around that had been cut at the firewall (junkyard pull with an engine I got once), so I used it for spare parts.
