well i went to the dyno today and laid down 193whp and 173torque at 7psi a little dissapointed does anybody know what that is at the crank? I ran a little lean from about 4500-5500 but then the computer retarded timing and power went down to about 180whp kind of sucks. Im going to the track on friday i hope to break 15sec.

what is your turbo setup? Give a list of parts. I am boosting my N/A with the same PSI.

im not sure why your dissapointed with that, my goal is 200whp, and thats pretty damn close

yeah 200 was my goal too, so im not sure what to do, the guy at the dyno said i should get an SAFC and he will tune it to hit 200whp. Its a star stage 2 turbo kit

i could probably push it to 8psi but then its more risky and i dont have th emoney for a rebuild

8 psi should be safe I remember reading about some guy on these boards or 2gnt who boosted at 10 psi for a couple months or so and said it ran completley fine and didn't break anything. I am not telling you to run 10 psi I am just saying that your 8 should be fine. Hahn and Star both agree 8 psi is the safe limit on a stock motor

Well i think im going to keep it at 7 if i ever need to i can boost to 8 if im worried about someone beating me but oh well. I might bump it up to 8 on fri when i go to the track.

I did 8 with a Hahn stage 2 and my head gasket went. Learned my lesson, build your motor, nothing is "safe," when boosting.

thats not the motors fault, thats chryslers paper head gaskets fault

yeah the headgaskets do suck but i already replaced mine last summer with an MLS one but to no surprise i think it started leaking again a couple weeks after i replaced it

I was able to get 198 with only 4psi of boost but I was running extremely lean so lean that my forged internals melted, but #@$$ happens taking the shop to court and hoping I can get some money back.

So quick recap, hahn says that with 9-10psi of boost you can have 250-275 at the crank. Which is ???whp?

So running the star stage 2 kit with 8psi and tuned with an SAFC is 250hp to the crank possible?

Anyways 200whp is my goal too, but I really thought I'd be pushing around 180whp with just 5psi Oh well.
