Toronto,
Okay here is the deal.

I'm about a week away from being turbo'd with a star kit, and I've noticed a couple of things about launching my car.

Iknow when you launch your suppsed to launch in hi rpms (4k-5k) but everytime I do that all I get is wheel hop.
I've got Zinex Xi 225-45-17ZR from leshwab on 17" ADR spade rims.
Tanabe S0-C full coilover suspension
DC sport carbon steel strut bar in the front/ebay in the back.

I thought the problem could possibly have to do with a motor mount but I'm not sure.

I'm thinking about purchasing a phantom grip lsd once I'm turbo'd to see if that helps.
But does anyone else have any ideas

Actually launching at 4-5k is a little high in my opinion most people launch around 3500 on fwd even on my 245's I can barely do 4k. Looks like your launching to high to me but I'd definitely do the motor mounts and then the lsd.

Yeah I thought that would be high too....but the guys at the track were telling me that. I guess I forgot I was FWD. I normally slip the clutch around 3k too however I still experience the wheel hop.
The other night I just saw this CRX with a phantom grip lsd drop it at 5k and he was gone....1st jumped for like a second and then no more spinning.

phantom grips like to break spider gears
also in high hp app. they slip

my friend has one in his gsr and sometimes it dosent even lock up both tires in the burn out box
I say Quaife YES it is expensive but it comes with a lifetime warr. and it wont break

if you break your spider gears for the price to repalce them and buy another PG you could have just bought the Quaife in the first place.

the energy suspension motor mount inserts are only $30 with shipping from howell and do wonders. the front is a breeze to install, the back is a pain, but since i installled them i havent wheel hopped once. motor mounts are the way to go to get rid of wheel hop.

Hey Rand, hows the install going? You gotta drop by once you get it all in there so i can check out patrick's work! Awsome that youre getting to go turbo though! :rocks:

Actually Jun is installing my stuff...he's the man when it comes to that stuff. Patrick builds, jun puts everything in and makes sure it runs real nice.

Like patrick portmatched my TB and intake maini, and Jun will be putting it all together.
Its at axiom rightn now,

i'll hit up pretty soon
